With 2 small children and a husband who was traveling more than he was home, my days were spent juggling a thousand different things.
By the time 5 o’clock came, I was exhausted, my patience (what little was left) was worn down, and the last thing I wanted to do was cook dinner.
So it was another trip through the drive thru or a race through the grocery store or ordering pizza.
Back then I rarely menu planned.
But one night I’d had it.
My son had a meltdown over his homework, my daughter dropped a glass that shattered all over the kitchen floor, the dog then got sick in the middle of the kitchen AND I burnt the grilled cheese sandwiches so badly the smoke alarm went off.
And that’s when I started to menu plan.
I was less stressed.
Less overwhelmed.
And, I also saved a bunch of money and time — huge bonuses!
