Melon coated with pepper is a popular street snack in Mexico, and this cocktail takes the melon and the pepper and creates a modern and refreshing summer drink. A little bit sweet, a little bit spicy and a whole lot of delicious.

  • cantaloupe juice
  • tequila
  • lime juice
  • simple syrup
  • salt
  • chile powder
  • sugar
  • salt
  • cayenne pepper


  • In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine cantaloupe juice, tequila, lime juice, simple syrup, and salt. Shake thoroughly.
  • Combine rim ingredients together on a small plate; wet the edge of a rocks glass and coat in chile-salt mixture. Strain shaken drink into rimmed glass.
