Homemade Irish Cream

Just in time for St. Patrick's Day here is the easiest and fastest recipe for the MOST delicious homemade Irish Cream.

Serve it over ice, add it to coffee or spoon it over vanilla ice cream.  Anyway you have it, one thing is for sure -- it won't last long!

1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder (the best European brand you can find)

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup Irish whiskey (I like Jameson)

One 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk

In a pitcher whisk together the cocoa powder and a splash of the whipping cream.  Slowly whisk in the the rest of the cream, making sure to blend well to incorporate the cocoa powder.  Whisk in the vanilla extract, whiskey and condensed milk.  Whisk until the rest of the ingredients are incorporated.

Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap, or transfer Irish Cream to a mason jar.  It will keep in your fridge for up to two weeks, but I'm pretty sure you will have polished it off by then!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
