Total Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼  pounds  green beans (I like using haricot vertes, but regular green beans work just fine)
  • garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • tablespoons  butter
  • Red Pepper Flakes
  • Sugar
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium heat melt the butter, add garlic and a pinch of red pepper flakes. If you like it spicy, add a large pinch of the red pepper flakes. When the garlic starts to sizzle add the green beans, season with salt and a small pinch of sugar. Cook about 2 minutes. Add ¼ cup of water, cover and let cook for 5 minutes. Uncover and turn the heat up to high. When the water evaporates, season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
  • Serve these with our Halibut de Provence!
